American Girls Historical Reading club

A mother - daughter reading club for girls at least 6 years old and up. Learn about history through games, crafts, and snacks. Registration is required and may be completed at the front desk by the Thursday before the club meeting which is held on the second Saturday of each month at 10am. Theme: American Girls Learn A Lesson Our Spring Schedule: March 11th-Samantha 1904- We will snack on Tea Cakes & Gingerbread cookies with lemonade, craft an Composition Book, play some games from 1904 & listen to a story from Samantha's time. April 8th-Rebecca 1914 & Claudie 1922-We will snack on Egg Creams & Oreo's for Rebecca & Sweet Potato Pie for Claudie. Our craft will be painting a glass candle holder & we will play some popular kids games from the 1920's. May 13th-Kit 1934- We will snack on apple pie, popcorn, and soda pop. We will craft a book bag from an old T-shirt & play some Depression Era games:) FYI- Crafts or snacks may change due to availability or budget.
